Ballet Necklace

Birthdays all around! This is a necklace that I made for my daughter-in-law who loves to dance. She took this photo for me because I didn't get to photograph it before I gave it to her. The pendant is made from a digital collage that I did, mounted on white brass, and covered with resin. I am including a separate image of the collage because all of the detail doesn't show up on the necklace photo.

Teachers

A teacher affects eternity.
She can never tell where her influence stops.

This is a necklace that I just finished for a gift for my niece who is a pre-K teacher. Her birthday is coming up and she will be exactly half as old as I am. (Shhh! if you are family, don't tell her that I posted this gift please) She has a wonderful way with children and I'm sure that she makes a beautiful mark on their lives.
The teacher pictured was at the one room schoolhouse that my aunts and uncles went to. The little girl to the left of the teacher was my late Aunt Mildred.

What Happened 50 Years Ago Today?

My new socks

Little ole me was born! WooooHoooo! The big five-o! I think fifty is the new thirty. Most days I feel like it. I love it! I don't understand people who are depressed about their age. I am thankful to be healthy and blessed with such wonderful family and friends. Half of a century isn't too bad. I'm just getting wound up. Can't wait to see what the next half century brings.

New Jewelry

I have had a creative burst lately. It's about time. I've mostly been focused on making jewelry. The selling increase that I had during the holidays did wonders for my inspiration.

New Jewelry

Happy New Year everybody! I have been too distracted by all of the holiday bustle to blog lately. I have been reading everyone else's, but have neglected my own. Even though I have not been blogging, I have been making jewelry. Some of it is in various stages of completion, but today I listed two pieces on etsy. It's all a little different from what I have been doing, though it still involves copper. When I finish the others I will post them. Here is a little taste of what I've been up to.
