Altered Cabinet Card Journal

I picked up this cabinet card in an antique shop back in January and have been trying to figure out what to do with it. I found some inexpensive journals the other day and so I decided to alter the card and rivet it to the front of the journal. Then I made a copper tag with my favorite saying on it and attached that to the card. The wings are Fimo, formed in a mold that I made using some of the plastic wings that they give to kids on airlines. I will be adding it to my Etsy shop today. I found it a little hard to paint on an old photo, but I think she looks like she is having more fun now than when the photo was taken.

I know what you mean about painting on the photo's but I think that in some way we honour people who have not been remembered in other ways, and this is a journal to treasure.
